2023 Year End Update

In 2023, Wohali witnessed remarkable progress in bringing its vision to life. Completing the Eagle Championship Golf Course is a testament to meticulous planning and execution, offering a challenging yet breathtaking golf experience. As the Manor House nears its final stages, the attention to detail evident in its design, inspired by historic grandeur and contemporary aesthetics, reflects the essence of Wohali's vision - quality craftsmanship, beauty, and timeless design.
The Short Game Practice Area, completed swiftly with meticulous planning, sets the stage for golfers to refine their skills in a world-class environment. The Start Shack at the Eagle Course, a prelude to Wohali's interior design standards, will invite golf members with a Scottish cottage feel upon the course's opening.
Beyond golf, Wohali's commitment to diverse amenities unfolds with The Burrow, an architectural gem combining culinary excellence, a wine room, and event space. The Gatehouse, embodying a sense of spaciousness and European charm, is slated for completion during the first half of 2024, further enhancing the resort's welcoming entry. Additional adventure-related amenities, such as hiking and biking trails and private cat skiing, will begin development in 2024.
Over the past 12 months, Wohali also achieved significant milestones related to solidifying the property's infrastructure:
- 500,000 yards of earth were moved
- 2+ miles of asphalt were laid
- 3+ miles of water, sewer, and storm was installed
- A 400,000-gallon water tank was installed
- 11 Wohali Village Cottages were excavated
- 15,200 square feet of stone was laid
Looking ahead to 2024, we could not be more excited about the future. From our grand opening of the Eagle Championship Golf Course and the Manor House to Wohali's first season of winter mountain adventure, we are set to begin a vibrant chapter in luxury living at Wohali.

At Wohali, our goal is to offer golf members an exhilarating and enjoyable golfing experience amidst the breathtaking landscape of the Wasatch Back. The Eagle Championship Golf Course was strategically crafted to present a challenge for low-handicap golfers while providing an exciting and entertaining venue for those less experienced or learning the game. Meticulous planning has gone into the course’s design, offering players multiple strategies for navigating each hole. As a course that engages strategic thinking, players are encouraged to use every club in their bag and make thoughtful decisions about how to approach each hole.
Wohali’s signature course - the Eagle Championship Golf Course - is thoughtfully routed to capitalize on the natural environment, showcasing views that are truly unique to the area. In the event of a tie, Wohali introduces a distinctive solution with a 19th hole - an inviting short Par 3 situated on the edge of the lake. This feature serves as the perfect conclusion to the round, regardless of the outcome, providing a memorable and scenic finale to the day.
In 2023, Wohali's construction team successfully finalized the development of holes 3-9 and 11-16. During this period, they skillfully hauled and/or installed:
- 6,700 tons of greens mix (Sand/Peat)
- 2,200 tons of drainage gravel for the greens & bunkers
- 5,700 tons of sand for tee construction and bunker fill
- 1,255,000 square feet of sod, which is more than 28 acres
Additionally, our dedicated team meticulously seeded an impressive 1,445,000 square feet of fairway space, equivalent to over 33 acres. Guided by the expertise of Wohali's Superintendent, Todd Bunte, this team places immense value on precision, often engaging in the meticulous process of hand-raking fairways and removing rocks and small stones by hand. This commitment ensures that every inch of the course attains a level of pristine perfection and ensures the Eagle Championship Golf Course is unlike any other course you've encountered.
The Eagle Championship Golf Course is scheduled to open no later than July 15th, 2024.
As I think about the year ahead, I could not be more excited. To kick off the year, Wohali is poised to deliver its first two eagerly awaited amenities to our esteemed owners: the Manor House and the Eagle Championship Golf Course. Both amenities will be available to owners beginning in Summer 2024.
Furthermore, 2024 promises a slew of projects designed to enhance the Wohali experience for our owners, with several scheduled to commence or reach completion during the year:
- The team will begin cutting hiking and biking trails during the summer of 2024. The trails will continue to grow for years to come.
- The Side Country Ski Bowl's ski runs are scheduled to be cut during summer 2024 so they are ready for winter adventures during the 2024-2025 ski season.
- The Side Country Outpost is currently scheduled for completion during the second half of 2024.
- Private Backcountry private cat skiing will become available to members during the 2024-2025 ski season.
- We hope to have our first on-mountain ski club in Deer Valley available to members for the 2024-2025 ski season.
